Activities

1. Class operation

Organization and planning, supported by various ECAC activities, to assist form teachers in operating classes, enhancing teacher-student relationship, and building a cohesive class culture. Objectives: 

1. Encourage improvement through healthy competition
2. Optimize class operation and build class unity
3. Develop students’ senses of involvement in and belonging to their respective classes

2. Societies and leadership training

Encourage and train students to take on leadership roles. Students are given opportunities, from S1, to participate in various societies and extra-curricular activities. They are also given opportunities to plan and organize activities in the capacity of society/club committee members, regardless of the secondary school year they are in. Student cultivation–oriented education emphasizes students' roles as coaches in the learning process. As such, students' preferences, interests and abilities should be accommodated, and the content of learning should be explored and developed by students rather than entirely handed down by teachers. Training and development since a young age enable students' excellence in extra-curricular activities, particularly in leadership. Therefore, students are routinely involved in planning of the school's major activities, such as athletic meets and themed open days. This serves to enhance students' leadership, and to promote and implement the school's motto of "after establishing yourself, help establish others".

Four Houses

 

 

• Leadership training camp

A leadership training camp was organized in July to develop students' self-understanding and strengths (in organizational role and positioning) through fun, enjoyment and deep experience. The camp helped students understand the role and responsibilities of leaders. Future leaders experienced the importance of communication, collaboration, role, problem-solving and planning within a team through activities in the camp.

3. Inter-house competitions

Inter-house competitions were planned and organized jointly by the ECAC (Subject Committee) and the 4 Houses
