Speak Up-Act Out! On Air! 2021-2022
Second place winner for One Day Radio Drama: Tin Ka Ping Secondary School
It is a great honour for our school to accomplish the 2nd prize in the improvised radio drama competition “Speak Up- Act Out! On Air!” 2021/22 organized by The NET Scheme in Hong Kong. Not only was it a hard task for us to brainstorm a story by the stimulus words mandated by the judges and to perform it out within 90 minutes, it was also a tough competition with other 13 other schools, including Diocesan Boy’s School and United Christian College (the first place winner).
It was a wonderful experience to take part in such a keen competition and to cooperate with my fellow team members to get ready for the performance. For me, it was very enjoyable to play different roles in the drama through physical and vocal expressions. Although our team did have some hard times during the competition, like an overly long plot that we had to cut some scenes of the story and the arguments over deciding who would play which roles; our team was still able to overcome the challenge and complete the performance, which was really an unforgettable experience. I would like to thank Mr. Bittner who provided training and invaluable comments at the competition and I hope our school can continue to do well in other competitions.
